JIB is a collection of Windows applications packaged to be ready for easy and convenient deployment on Linux.
Why install Windows applications on the Linux box when any imaginable application exists for Linux?
Well, in fact there are some reasons:
- Some Windows programs do not have any Linux counterpart.
- The existing Linux alternatives are inferior in features, maturity or ease of use.
- You might be used to a particular Windows application that has no Linux port.
How use JIB applications
It's very simple:
- Download <application>.jib
- Unpack it
- Run.
