Hallo zusammen,

ich habe bei mir seit kurzem OpenSuse 11.4 installiert, habe nun jedoch das Problem das der S-Video Ausgang nicht mehr funktioniert bzw. die Anzahl der Anschlüsse meiner Grafikkarte falsch erkannt werden.

Will ich nun für diese Grafikkarte die Einstellungen in den System Settings von KDE vornehmen bekomme ich folgende Anschlüsse angezeigt:

VGA1, TV1, TV2, VGA2

dabei ist jedoch alles ausgegraut außer die Einstellungen für den Anschluss VGA1.

Dies find ich bereits sehr seltsam da die Grafikkarte lediglich 2 Anschlüsse besitzt einen VGA und einen S-Video Anschluss.

Als Treiber wird derTreiber i915 verwendet.

Seltsam daran ist auch das dies bereits mit der selben Hardware bereits unter OpenSuse 11.4 funktionierte (direkt nach der Installation).

Deshalb habe ich nun OpenSuse 11.4 neu installiert erhalte dabei jedoch dasselbe ergebnis wie oben beschrieben, mir ist jedoch nicht klar was ich bei der ersten Installation anderst gemacht habe.

Hat hier jemand eine Idee was der Grund hierfür sein könnte, da es ja bei der ersten Installation problemlos funktionierte?

Falls noch weitere Informationen benötigt werden werde ich diese gerne nachreichen.

Hmm, das bestätigt deine Beobachtungen. Jetzt wäre der *komplette* Inhalt von /var/log/Xorg.0.log interessant.

Nein, es hilft leider nicht wirklich weiter. Vor allem erklärt es nicht, warum das S-Video angeblich schon mal ging. Hast du parallel MS-Windows auf dem Rechner, und da etwas umgestellt? Bei meinem Laptop muss z.B. das BIOS den S-Video-Ausgang beim Booten konfigurieren, sonst lässt er sich im Betrieb mit Linux-Bordmitteln nicht mehr einschalten. Das bedeutet für mich: Ferni dranstecken, dann booten.

Nein ich habe kein Windows auf diesem Rechner, jedoch ist es bei mir dasselbe wie bei dir ich muss ebenfalls den Fernseher vor dem booten des Rechners anstecken.

Wäre es evtl. möglich das hardwareseitg etwas kaputt ist?

Unwahrscheinlich. Ich würde die BIOS-Einstellungen durchklappern, bei meinem Rechner ist es auch hakelig. Du kannst ja mal versuchen, mittels

hat leider nichts gebracht.

Ich kann nun jedoch ausschließen, dass die Hardware defekt ist, da der TV-out Ausgang mit einer Ubuntu 9.10 Live-CD funktioniert.

Ledier besitzt diese Distri keine Xorg.config file.
