The CKey was an absolute essential product for us to pay for expenses such as participating in SIGGRAPH last year. The goal was (and still is) to have Blender available as freeware however.
We are happy to announce we will have Blender 2.0 available as full freeware. To anticipate this free release we will publish a Blender 1.8 version at june 21 with all Complete features freely available.
To thank for the support, we also will give all Ckey owners a special gift: a free Tutorial Guide. Ckey holders also will get a pretty nice discount at the Blender 2.0 boxed version (manual,tutors, cdrom) to be released in november. We will personally contact all Ckey owners in a few weeks about this.
