Are there more preferable ARM SoC GPU solutions?
I don't think so. PowerVR, Vivante, Adreno, NVidia... all of them are really usable only with closed source drivers, at most.
Maybe future Linux devices should prefer on Intel or AMD SoCs... both are on it's way.
With esp. Intel targeting ARMs core business: Embedded and Smartphone/Tablet market.
With Intel Abandoning PowerVR in favour of it's own HD graphics Core for embedded SoCs.
Instead of ARM growing into server market share, they will lose smartphone market share. Very predictable...
