3com ext. isdn modem

hallo

habe ein externes u.s.robotics isdn pro ta modem.
in der compatibliste kann ich nichts finden, heist das ich
kann das modem nicht verwenden oder gibts einen anderen weg
dies zu installieren.
antwort bitte für linuxneuling der noch sehr viel win im kopf hat:o

es müßte wie ein normales Modem funktionieren, oder nicht?

Hi!
Wenn das ISDN-Modem den AT-Befehlssatz beherrscht, kannst du es wie ein normal Analog-Modem ansprechen. Du benötigst noch nicht einmal i4l...

leider wird das modem weder auf port 1 noch auf port 2 erkannt.
das heist wohl pech gehabt oder.

Inwiefern "erkannt"? Kannstu du mit minicom drauf zugreifen?

hallo

also zu allererst will ich mal sagen das ich ein totaler linuxanfänger der leider noch zu viel windowsdenken im kopf hatt :O)). ich hoffe das euch das nicht stört aber irgendwan muß man ja anfangen!!
es ist folgendes, ich stelle com port 1 ein, starte yast/admin.des systems/netzwerk konfig./ppp netzwerk konfig/und da starte ich die modem erkennung, leider findet linux da nichts.
egal ob port 1 oder 2 eingestellt ist.
