Hallo liebe Forumgemeinde,
ich bin derzeit am überlegen ob ich nicht auf Linux umsteigen soll. Das es einige Zeit kostet ist mir klar, das nehme ich aber gerne in Kauf. Da ich Anfänger bin überlege ich mir suse 8.0 zuzulegne
Ich hab jetzt mal auf www.suse.de geschaut was für Hardware unterstützt wird. Ich habe eine ATI Radeon 7200 Grafikkarte. In der Liste steht, dass die Radeon 7500 unterstützt wird, es stehen noch etliche andere Radeons da die einen Buchstaben am Ende haben, aber nicht meine 7200. Sie ist also nicht einmal verzeichnet.
Wenn ich allerdings auch bei Suses Hardwaredatenbank auf manch andere Grafikkarten klicke steht dabei: "nicht unterstützt".
Wie soll ich das jetzt interpretieren? Hat es noch niemand mit Radeon 7200 probiert oder wird es sicher nicht unterstützt?
Ich will mir nämlich nicht das Paket kaufen, und am Ende scheitert es schon an der Grafikkarte. Hat zufällig jemand da draußen die selbe GraKa und Linux installiert?

der chip, der auf der graka drauf ist, ist relevant und nicht die typenbezeichnung, weil linux immer den chip direkt ansteuert.
