Hat jemand ein bischen Ahnung wie man ein dsl-modem zum laufen bekommt, wenn der Anbieter(Allied Telesyn) kein treiber anbietet? hab schon auf dessen homepage nach`m linuxtreiber gesucht und nur Windoof - treiber gefunden
das modem: (AT-AR215)

Leider schreibst du recht wenig über das DSL Modem.
Wenn das DSL Modem ein externes Gerät ist, dann brauchst du keinen Treiber sondern steckst eine beliebige von Linux unterstützte Netzwerkkarte in deinen Rechner und verbindest diese mit einem Twisted-Pair Kabel mit dem DSL Modem.
Sofern es ein interne PCI Karte ist:

Laut folgendem Usenet Posting in de.comm.technik.dsl gibt es einen Treiber im Alpha-Stadium für RedHat der jedoch unter SuSE angeblich nicht funktioniert (ist ja aber auch noch Alpha).

In fact, the drivers appear to originate with Analog Devices. Allied Telesyn doesn't yet officially support the drivers, although they did send them to me. Note: Allied Telesyn sent me updated drivers on 7/18/02. If you downloaded the driver file before then, you might want to try the new one.
