Installation auf USB Festplatte

Hallo,

hat schon jemand Erfahrung damit gemacht ein RedHat(8.0) komplett auf eine USB Festplatte zu installieren?
Hab' schonmal etwas im Forum gesucht, allerdings nur etwas zu einer zusätzlichen USB-Platte (Daten-LW) gefunden.

Unterstuetz Dein BIOS booten von USB-Festplatten ?
Hast Du es mal mit Windows getestet ?

Hallo,

ja, das Bios unterstützt das (booten von usb-floppy u.ä. funktioniert auch) - aber würde redhat diese Festplatte bei einer Neuinstallation erkennen (ggf. mit einer Bootdiskette). Hab' momentan keine entsprechende Platte um das einfach auszuprobieren.
