hi, kann mir jemand etwas zu solch einer meldung von lilo sagen.
Warning: Int 0x13 function 8 and function 0x48 return different
head/sector geometries for BIOS drive 0x80
diese meldung erscheint wenn ich lilo aufrufe. das system selbst mit lilo läuf ohne probs.
aber wie kann ich das problem beheben.
das prob. habe ich auf 2 rechnern mit epox mainboard 8kha+ via kt266, ac97 sound und seagate platte (platte nicht gleich ebenso die restliche hardware). nach der install ist alles ok erst nach einem kaltstart tritt der fehler auf. was mir in dem zusammenhang noch auffiel ist das im kdm das menü für den neustart leer ist. es sind zb die einträge win oder failsafe nicht mehr da.
ich habe eine ide seagate 30gb und eine scsi ibm 4,5gb hdd im rechner im andern habe ich nur eine ide 20gb seagate.
auf einem sockel 7 board ist alles io.
ich denke 0x80 ist die ide hdd und int 0x13 ist die funktion für grosse hdd's.
bs ist suse 8.0

hast du eventuell in deiner lilo.conf die Option <b>compact</b> aktiviert?
Möglicherweise liegts daran.
