ich habe suse 8.2 pro im einstaz das einzige problem was ich habe, alles andere läuft top, ist mein usb hub.wenn ich an ihm die geräte wie kkartenleser dranstecke oder usb stick findet suse die geräte nicht.stecke ich die geräte direkt (ohne hub) dran läuft alles.hat einer ne ahnung??

Erkennt linux den Hub (als Hub)? Normalerweise werden weitere USB-Ports erkannt nachdem der Hub gefunden wurde -> logs nachsehen. Ich hatte auch mal einen (passiven) Primitiv-Hub, mit dem lief garnix. Vielleicht reicht es die Geräte-Kennungen des hubs nachzutragen.

Wenn Du Dir mit dmesg|less den Boot-Log oder auch nur die /var/log/messages ansiehst, dann müßte da so etwas stehen:

Wenn da nix steht, dann wird der Hub wohl nicht erkannt.
