Plötzlich keinen grafischen Login (KDM) mehr!

Hallo,
Danke erstmal fürs anklicken meines Postings.
Ich habe mir gerade mein Posting durchgelesen - es ist irgwndwie wirr! Bitte helft mir trozdem <img src="http://www.pl-forum.de/UltraBoard/Images/Happy.gif" border="0" align="middle">
kanns momentan nicht besser erklären!

Mein Pronlem ist das ich keinen grafischen Login mehr habe, und meinen Xserver nicht starten kann
(ich sehe kurz eine grafische Oberfläche und dann stürzt vermutlich der XServer ab).

Ich war gerade dabei ein paar sachen auf meiner Festplatte zu löschen - bzw. dabei ein paar installierte rpms zu deinstallieren.
Dabei handelte es sich "eigentlich" nicht um wichtige dinge!
Ich habe z.B. php4 deinstalliert ...
War alles kein Problem, ich habe angefangen pakete zu installieren welche von Kino benötigt werden.
Irgendwann öffnete sich das grafische Programm für die Installation nicht mehr und ich dachte - vielleicht hilft ja ein neustart!...
Der hat auch geholfen als ich mal nichtmehr auf meinen mp3 Stickzugreifen konnte - ohne das ich ihn vorher gemountet hatte .

Ich habe mal meine boot.msg und meine kdm.log auf meinem usb stick gespeichert und sitze gerade am Rechner von meinem Vater - weil ich hier ins internet kann.


Nach dem was ich bis jetzt gesagt hat kann mir niemand helfen denn es fehlen details... <img src="http://www.pl-forum.de/UltraBoard/Images/Happy.gif" border="0" align="middle">
Also poste ich die beiden dateien mal.
btw. ich kann zwar immernoch auf der konsole arbeiten... nur komme ich da (noch) nicht sehr weit.
(Ich verfolge die Taktik erstmal ein System per GUI zu bedienen zu können bevor ich (teilweise) zur shell wechsele)

du kannst als root auch ohne nen X server yast starten und vielleicht das kde zeug mal neu draufknallen oder mit der cd starten und das system reaparieren lassen

Hey Simon,

erst mal "Frohe Ostern", oder so. Du hast leider vergessen, mitzuteilen, welche Linux-Distri Du hier aufgespielt hast; aber sei es drum, ich kenne das Problem mit SuSE-Linux 9.0. Und zwar habe ich herausgefunden, dass jeweils nach dem Updaten der XFree-Programme das gleiche Problem bei mir auftauchte. Nach endlosen Versuchen habe ich es aufgegeben (auf "F 10" kam immer die Meldung "mtrr-Overlaps" mit irgendwelchen Zeichensätzen wie 0xf8000000000 und 0xf4000000000 oder so) und jetzt Version 9.0 ganz neu installiert, die NVidia-3D-Treiber über SuSE-Linux 9.0 online-update installiert, neu gestartet, 3D installiert (über Sax2), neu gestartet, den neuen SuSE-Linux-Kernel 2.4.21-199 installiert (auf der "root" Konsole in cd /usr/src/linux mit "make Cloneconfig", "make dep bzImage" installiert und dann alle anderen benötigten Programme (außer alle "XFree-Updates") upgedatet und jetzt funktionierts.

Warum, weiss ich auch nicht so richtig, aber es geht.

Vielleicht hilft Dir das ja weiter.

in den logs kann man nicht viel sehen, für den xserver wäre das XFree86.0.log interressant. davon bitte nur die etwa letzten 15 zeilen, wichtig sind vorallem die mit ee gekennzeichneten.

interessanter wäre der Inhalt der Datei <b>/var/log/XFree86.0.log</b>. Da stehen nämlich die Fehlermeldungen des X-Servers drin.

ich kann mich nur der Meinung anschleißen...falls Du SuSE Linux verwendest!? Benutze die Systemreperatur die Funzt wirklich gut, und ist sehr einfach! habe selber ma ein ähnliches Prob. gehabt und einfach die Packete mit der Rep. wieder hergestellt, seit dem läuft es supi :D
