hallo kollegen,
ich habe ein problem und komme leider nicht mehr weiter und nun benötige ich wenn möglich etwas hilfestellung.
meine configuration:
amd k7/600
epox-board
suse 8.1 / kde3.0.3 / incl. allen updates
digital-cam casio qv-100 (schon alt, aber was solls)
so, und nun zu meinem problem :
unter obiger konstellation ist es mir nicht mehr möglich meine camera an das system anzuschliessen.
unter suse 8.1 gibt es nun das gphoto2 und mit dem wollte ich es probieren.
die camera wird zwar mit experimental unterstütz, der entsprechende ser.-com-port wurde auch angegeben, aber es erscheint nur die
FM : camera kann nicht initialilsiert werden bitte anschluss u. strom überpruefen.
ich dachte nun dass es evt. an gphoto liegt und habe dann unter wine die entspr. windows-software installiert...
aber ohne erfolg. auch dort kam eine aehnliche FM.
also liegt es sicherlich weder an den 'treibern' von gphoto noch an der win-software.
bei suchen im internet fand ich nun den hinweis, dass die ser.-ports nur mit entspr. gruppenberechtigungen angesprochen werden können
f. modem ....
daraufhin vergab ich mit chmod die 666 und später die 777 auf den entspr.com1-port.......aber alles ohne erfolg.
habe nun in der kommandzeile das gphoto2 haendisch ausprobiert und anschliessend das logfile ausgedruckt ( siehe unten ).
so, nun bin ich am ende meiner weisheit.
wer kann mit dem log was anfangen und mir dementsprechend weiterhelfen.

habe nun suse8.1 auch noch auf einem anderen pc installiert.
auf diesem ist u.a auch windows installiert.
auch auf diesem pc funktioniert die installation der digicam unter linux nicht, wobei unter windows alles funktioniert.
kann also auch nicht am pc liegen.
unter suse 7.3 und mit gphoto 0.4 war noch heile welt.
naja, werde weitersuchen bzw. feue mich auf jegliche hilfe von euch.

auch nicht beim support von gphoto.org ... dort nur einen hinweis auf dem experimental-status....
aber man steht ja nicht ganz im wald.
was habe ich nun gemacht ?
- da ich wusste, dass die alte version von gphoto (0.4.2 / 0.4.3) unter suse7.3 gelaufen ist und somit meine
camera unterstützte wollte ich diese in einsatz bringen...
aber leichter gesagt als getan:
auf der suse 8.1 CD ist nur die neue gphoto2-version vorhanden.
auf der gphoto-homepage ist nur ein hinweis vorhanden dass die 0.4-er-version von der 2er-version ersetzt wird.
--> nach langer suche dann endlich auf irgend-einem server in der welt dann doch noch eine 0.4er version gfunden.
- so und nun die neue 2er-version mit rpm deinstalliert (achtung... das entspr. rpm fuer die lib-gpphoto..-devel..
nicht deinstallilert, da dieses noch von kde.. etc. benötigt wird)
- alte version installiert .... und siehe da, wieder heile welt. nur natürlich mit einer veralteten oberfläche.
aber was solls, meine bilder können nun eingelesen werden.
Schade ist nur, dass die entwickler nicht alle camera-typen übernommen haben.
Ein hinweis auf experimental bringt da nicht viel .... geht ja doch nicht .... und hilfe ist dort auch nicht in sicht.
desweiteren finde ich es auch schade, dass dort nicht mehr die alte version zu finden ist.
so, leicht frustriert, aber dennoch glücklich,
hoffe ich, dass man damit anderen besitztern einer alten casio qv-100 helfen kann.
