knoppix-stable (Credativ) auf Festplatte?

Hallo!

In dem Linux-Userheft 07.2003 gibt es eine Knoppix-CD
die auf Debian-stable aufbaut. Deshalb möchte ich mir lieber
diese als die Knoppix auf die Festplatte installieren.
Allerdings habe ich da kein Installationsscript wie
auf der Knoppix-CD gefunden.
Weiß jemand, wie man diese Distri auf die Festplatte bekommt?

Hallo Hotti,
wenn ich den Artikel zu der CD richtig im Kopf habe, ist eine Installation auf HD nicht moeglich!

Is ja nicht Knoppix! Sondern Credativ oder so aehnlich (hab das Heft nicht hier), und unterscheidet sich von Knoppix dadurch, dass es auf stable aufbaut und - lt. Artikel - eben nicht fest installiert werden kann.

Hallo!
Das die Credativ keine Installationsdistri ist
steht ja im Artikel drin. Aber das ist die Knoppix
so gesehen ja auch nicht, nur daß es da ein Installations-
script gibt. Leider läßt sich das nicht auf die Credativ
anwenden und ich habe keine Ahnung, wie man das anpassen
könnte <img src="http://www.pl-forum.de/UltraBoard/Images/Sad.gif" border="0" align="middle">
Also, falls jemand Credativ auf hd installiert hat,
bitte um Infos. Tausend Dank!

A: Im Prinzip ja (das "Master"-System läuft schließlich auch von
Festplatte, bevor es auf CD gebrannt wird). Allerdings gibt es derzeit
noch kein Installations-GUI dafür, und die Festinstallation ist eher
fortgeschrittenen Linux-Anwendern zu empfehlen. Sie läuft in etwa nach
folgendem Schema ab, ein gebootetes KNOPPIX-System vorausgesetzt:
1.) ext2-Dateisystem auf einer freien Partition einrichten und
z.B. nach /mnt/knoppix mounten.
2.) cp -a /KNOPPIX/* /mnt/knoppix/
3.) /mnt/knoppix/etc/fstab und /mnt/knoppix/etc/lilo.conf auf das neue
System anpassen (Achtung: Symlinks in /boot zeigen evtl. auf die
Ramdisk!), lilo aufrufen.
4.) mkdir /mnt/knoppix/home/knoppix && \
chown knoppix.knoppix /mnt/knoppix/home/knoppix
5.) Reboot, ausprobieren, fehlende Einstellungen ergänzen.
(Keine Garantie.)
Auf neueren Versionen von KNOPPIX ab 3.1 ist unter
/usr/local/bin/knx-hdinstall
ein Skript mit dabei, das aus KNOPPIX eine "normale" Debian-Installation
auf Festplatte erzeugt. Benutzung auf eigene Gefahr!

Könntest Du mal ausprobieren. Pfade evtl. anpassen. Viel Erfolg!

Hallo!

Danke für den Tip.
Ich werde es mal auf diese Weise
mit der Credativ-Distri ausprobieren.
Wäre schade, wenn es nicht funktioniert.
Denn eine Live-CD im "Produktionseinsatz"
kann ich mir schlecht vorstellen...

Bitte check mal, ob es das Kommando "knx-hdinstall" gibt und führe es aus.
