W-Lan unter SuSE Linux?

Hi ich habe eine IEEE 802.11b+ 22Mbps PCMCIA Card / Patch Antenna (TI Chipset)
gibt es dufür Treiber?

Was für eine Karte ist es denn genau? Texas Instruments hat verschiedene Chipsätze, manche werden unterstützt, manche nicht.

Danke für die Antwort! Ich muss dazu sagen das ich so gut wie neu in der Linux Welt bin und bis jetzt mehr als begeistert bin wer nur noch super wenn mein W-Lan klappen würde habe ein weg gefunden ein paar Infos von der Hardware zu bekommen was SuSE Linux erkannt hat!!! Das mit dem 22Mbps stimmt schon mal nur leider tut sich nichts wenn die Karte von Yast Erkannt und Installiert wird!! Sie Karte reagiert überhaupt nicht!

Ich habe die selbe frage auch schon an denn Support von SuSE gestellt und bekam diese tolle Antwort also ich weiß ja nicht was die unter Installationssupport verstehen also für mich gehört die Hardware dazu oder wollte die mir von SuSE etwa sagen das dass angeblich "Linux-Betriebssystem der Zukunft" keine Hilfe für W-Lan bieten kann tolle zu Zukunft!

Naja ist ja auch egal zum Glück sind die Linux User immer mit Rat und Tat für ein da wenn es Probleme gibt!!!!

PCMCIA und USB-WLAN sind noch so ne Sachen... Man bekommt für wenig Hardware schon Treiber. Das wird sich aber auch irgendwann ändern...

Check mal mit "tail -f /var/log/messages" oder einfach "cat /var/log/messages" die angegebene Log-Datei. Dann Poste alles, was dir so vorkommt als hätte es was mit der Karte zu tun hier rein.

Ich hatte (und habe) auch ein Problem mit 'nem USB-WLAN-Device. Kannst dir ja mal meinen thread angucken:

Helfen wird er dir aber nicht... Aber Kopf hoch! Bis jetzt hat man mit Linux noch alles hingekriegt. (Außer ... ... ... ...) ;-)

Das liegt aber nicht an Linux, sondern daran, dass die Hardware-Hersteller es als eine Selbstverständlichkeit betrachten, für Microsoft Treiber zur Verfügung zu stellen und für Linux nicht, aber ich will nicht schon wieder eine Open-Source-Diskussion vom Zaun brechen... ;-)

Erst mal danke für die Hilfe! Ich kenne das Problem mit denn Treiber Herstellern die nur für Windoof Entwickeln und Linux so das leben schwer macht aber egal darum geht es ja jetzt nicht wirklich. Also in der Datei:

Guten Tag, Ich bin jetzt ein schritt weiter glaub ich ;-) Ich habe jetzt ein Updata von SuSE bekommen mit meinen Treibern aber leider tut sich immer noch nichts obwohl SuSE meine W-Lan Richtig erkannt hat und mir auch kein Fehler anzeigt!

Ich hoffe mir kann jemand Helfen?

Ich benutze zwar Debian, aber ich würde es so versuchen:

1. Karte scheint korrekt erkannt zu werden, ich würde trotzdem prüfen ob das Modul existiert.
2. Überprüfen ob Hotplugfunktionalität im Kernel ist

3. Überprüfen ob hotplug Dienst gestartet wird.
4. Scheint als bräuchtest du noch eine Firmware für die Karte, die wirds unter http://acx100.sourceforge.net/ geben. Die Firmware muss in ein bestimmtes Verzeichnis kopiert werden, unter Debian ist das /usr/lib/hotplug/firmware.

Versuch mal ob du mit diesen Ansätzen weiterkommst, viel Erfolg.
