Frage zu ATI-Treibern

Hallo,

ich habe gerade den neuen ATI-Treiber fglrx-4.3.0-3.9.0.i386.rpm von ati.com gezogen und installiert. Das ganze auf SuSE9.0. Installation hat keinen Fehler ausgespuckt, die Module wurden kompiliert und installiert. Nun dachte ich: "Testen, ob's geklappt hat" und hab' mal:

Neue XF86Config erstellt mit fglrxconfig und wird diese auch verwendet?

Morgen,

@root_tux_linux
fglrxconfig habe ich durchgeführt und es wurde die Datei /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 angelegt. Verwendet wird diese auch, denn nach einem init 5 stand die Auflösung des X-Servers auf 640x480. Vorher stand sie auf 1280x1024. Um zu sehen ob das wirklich funktioniert habe ich die Auflösung extra auf 640x480 gestellt.

Ich hab wirklich keinen Plan was da los ist! Wie müsste den die Ausgabe von 3Ddiag aussehen?

Kann jemand, der eine Radeon-Karte mit funktionierendem ATI-Treiber hat, mal posten wie die Ausgabe von 3Ddiag dann aussieht?

Hallo,
das ist schon so Ok. Wahrscheinlich ist 3Ddiag nicht für die ATI-Treiber angepasst und gibt nur Unsinn aus. Versuch doch mal fgl_glxgears auszuführen, da sollten dann mindestens ein paar hundert FPS bei herauskommen.

Da kann ich nicht mit dienen!
Im kleinen Fenster bekomme ich grade mal ~470, und maximiert grade mal so um die 220 fps.

Also doch was falsch?!?

Also bei mir war das so ....

init 3
rpm -ivh 3.9.0blablabla.rpm
rmmod radeon
fglrxconfig
modprobe fglrx
modprobe agpgart
init 5

Getestet hab ich das mit ner 9200 und da hatte ich über 5000 fps mit fgrlxgears / glxgears

Was bei dir nicht stimmt? Kein Plan :(

PS. Ne Radeon 7000 mit standard radeon modul, hat schon 500 fps bei glxgears

Verwechsel nicht fgl_glxgears mit glxgears, das sind ganz unterschiedliche Programme. Seine Framerate für das wesentlich aufwendigere fgl_glxgears passt ungefähr. Ich hatte mit einer Radeon 9200SE ca. 180 FPS bei fgl_glxgears und 1300 FPS bei glxgears.

Sag ich doch ein paar tausend :)

fgl_glxgears und glxgears = normale Fenster grösse, mit Radeon 9200 (256MB), ATI 4.3.0-3.9.0, Kernel 2.4.26

Die CPU Auslast ist gleich auf 100% wenn ich CPU übertakt und 2.6.7 nehm hab ich noch ein paar fps mehr :)

Und er hat ne 9600 da müssen einiges mehr FPS drin sein als bei meiner 9200 und mit ner 9800XT kommt man locker auf 5000

da sind ca. 2000 FPS, aber nicht 5000. Und das war nur glxgears.

Jetzt bitte das gleiche nochmal mit fgl_glxgears (darüber reden wir nämlich die ganze Zeit).
