configure

Ich hab mal ne frage.
Ich habe mir ein programm für linux runtergeladen und kann es nicht installieren....da ist nur eine configure datei aber ich weiss nicht was ich damit anfangen soll!!!!
ich habe linux erst seid gestern!!!

hi,

normalerweise ist in sollte darin auch ein readme enthalten sein, welches du dir als erstes durchlesen solltest. wahrscheinlich handelt es sich um quelltext den du erst kompilieren mußt. meißt gehst du dann den weg über
./configure
make
make install
muß aber nicht sein, darum readme lesen. hier findest du noch etwas dazu

das online-buch ist eh ganz empfehlenswert. jedenfalls hast du dir gleich eins der schwereren themen ausgesucht.

ich würde dir aufjedenfall raten, dich an das paketmanagment deiner distri zu halten, und jenachdem rpm, deb oder was diese nun benutzt zu installieren. das ist erstmal sowieso einfacher, hat aber auch weitere vorteile z.b. eine eventuelle deinstallation, updates usw.
mehr findest du dazu wie erwähnt in obigem buch. die meisten der benötigten proggies werden deiner distri gepackt beiligen. vorrausgesetzt du hast eine der etwas "größeren" nein, eine gute gewählt.

1. was willst du installieren
2. was für eine distri

3. hast du auch den 2. absatz meines postings gelesen?

4. steht die fehlermeldung ganz unten

Ich will ein sever tool für Counterstrike installieren.
Vielleicht kannst du mir ein programm linken das ich mir laden kann
das auf jeden fall so funktioniert damit ich weis ob es bei mir geht

Hi,

Falls das Problem noch besteht ....

chlor fragte u.a. nach der Distribution . SuSE / RedHat / Mandrake .....
Es gibt da nämlich kleine feine Unterschiede. auch im Lieferumfang und
was alles per Voreinstellung installiert wird.
Konkret in Deinem Fall - Das zu kompilierende Programm braucht auch
noch die Header-Dateien für den X-Server. Die Pakete in deiner Distribution
sollten ein -dev- im Namen haben.

Und den letzten Tip von chlor beherzigen.
Bevor das 'configure' nicht sauber durchläuft, brauchst Du kein 'make'
probieren, denn 'configure' erstellt erst die angepassten Makefiles.
