Linux als internet gateway

hallo,

habe einen alten rechner mit linux bestückt und möchte diesen als internet gateway nutzen, habe ihn schon als samba server eingerichtet und die isdn karte ist auch eingerichtet, also netzwerk und internet funtzt...
hab einen windows rechner, mit dem ich die internet verbindung von dem linuxrechner nutzen will.
wie stell ich das an, muss ich da mit squid einen proxy einrichten???
wenn ja, wie muss meine squid.conf aussehen?

die global - section meines samba servers sieht so aus:

[global]
workgroup = foobar
unix charset = LOCALE
server string = SERVER
security = share

die ip/subnet meines linux rechners ist : 192.168.0.1/255.255.255.0
die meines windows rechners ist: 192.168.0.2/255.255.255.0

hoffe die angaben reichen aus und das ihr mir weiter helfen könnt...

wenn du keine lust hast eine suchmaschine anzuwerfen, kauf dir am besten ein buch über linux und netzwerke :roll:

-- sind meine ersten treffer wenn ich 'squid einrichten' in den metacrawler eingebe ...

der netzverkehr -incl. internet geht über tcp/ip und nicht über smb-protokolle

ok, ich habe jetzt meine squid.conf erstellt und die sieht so aus:

http_port 192.168.0.1:8080

acl FOOBAR 192.168.0.1/255.255.255.0
http_access allow FOOBAR

http_access deny all

acl allowed_clients src 192.168.0.1 192.168.0.2
http_access allow allowed_clients
http_access deny !allowed_clients


Die meldung wenn ich squid starte sieht so aus:

root@darkstar:/home/knoppix# /etc/init.d/squid restart

aber ich komme mit meinen clients nicht ins internet...
was habe ich falsch gemacht???

Hallo,

für diesen Zweck habe ich den IP-Cop in Schmalspur Linux am laufen.
Das Schöne daran: es enthält eine Firewall, das gewünschte Gateway,
Multi-User tauglich und Intrusion Detection ist auch möglich!!
