Seltsame X-Probleme

Seit dem Update auf Fedora 9 habe ich hier lustige Effekte. Versuche ich bestimmte Applikationen wie z.B. Xine zu starten erhalte ich folgende Fehlermeldung:

The program 'Xine' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadName (named color or font does not exist)'.

(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;

Mache ich ein

/etc/init.d/xfs restart

mit dem (wohlgemerkt eigentlich bereits laufenden) xfs dann funktioniert alles problemlos. Wattn das? Was könnte das sein?

XFS ist in Fedora 9 nicht mehr supported, daher werden die Configdateien wohl auch nicht mehr angepasst.

Die Fedora-Lösung besteht darin, xfs nicht mehr zu benutzen. Also xorg.conf umbenennen und einmal system-config-display starten, das macht eine neue xorg.conf ohne xfs.
