suse 7.1 und nvidia

hi ich habe folgendes problem!
ich habe suse 7.1 pro... und eine elsa erazor 3 lt mit dem nvidia riva tnt2 m64 chipsatz
ich bekomme einfach die 3d - beschleunigung nicht hin wie ich bei der installation die 3d besch. aktivieren wollte ist er mir gleich abgesemmelt ! wenn ich dann später mit sax2 das glx modul laden will geht es auch nicht !!!!! was soll ich machen !
will doch nur quake zocken sonst nichts

hast Du Dir die Treiber von nvidia heruntergeladen?
Sollten eigentlich so "einigermassen" laufen.
Sonst sieh zu Nvidia auch mal auf der SuSE Supportdatenbank nach.

ja klar habe ich das gemacht wenn ich jetzt switch2niv.....

und dann das demo gears teste erhalte ich den output

Hi,
ich habe auch eine nVidia-Grafikkarte, die Diamond V770...
Und habe leider genau das gleich Problem. Wenn ich 3D-Funktionen per Software berechenen lasse, habe ich keine Probleme. Aber sobald der echte 3D-Modus aktiviert wird (zb wenn ein 3D-Schoner aufgerufen wird) stürtzt mir das System ab. Ein Arbeitskollege hat genau das gleiche Problem !
Ich habe auchschon probiert die Treiber von "nVidia" einzubinden. Aber hier hatte ich auch das gleich Problem :(

Sieht aus, als waere das Kernel-Modul NVdriver nicht geladen. Was sagt denn "lsmod", ist da ein NVdriver zu sehen?
Wenn nicht, mach mal vor dem Starten von X "modprobe NVdriver".

Hast Du in /etc/modules.conf einen Eintrag "alias char-major-195 NVdriver"?

sellmi, du hast noch den nv treiber eingetragen nicht nvidia

(unter Section "Device" in der XF86Config-4, oder XF86Config)

mhh stimmt !! jetzt habe ich als treiber nvidia und LOAD "glx" aber trozdem ist er immer noch am absemmeln !

habe alles noch mal neu installiert und genau nach dieser anleitung bin ich vor gegangen wenn ich jetzt aber gears starte kommt
