Hallo,
Welche Debian Version ist die aktuellste??.Ich möchte diese Distri ausprobieren.Nicht,daß ich mir meiner jetzigen unzufrieden bin,aber mal ranschnüffeln kostet ja wenig.
Habe DSL und will Debian herunterladen.
Problem ist : Wie kann ich so einstellen,daß ich auf einer Fesplatte sagen kann,entweder Debian oder Mandrake zum Starten.Klar mit Lilo,aber wie genau?.Oder steht'S auch im Handbuch drinne?.

1. Die akt. Version ist 2.2r5, siehe <a href="http://www.debian.org" target="_blank"><!--auto-->http://www.debian.org</a><!--auto-->
2. In der /etc/lilo.conf einen weiteren Eintrag hinzufügen, der wie folgt aussehen sollte:

# If you have another OS on this machine to boot, you can uncomment the
# following lines, changing the device name on the `other' line to
# where your other OS' partition is.
#
# other=/dev/hda4
# label=HURD
# restricted

</font><hr></pre></blockquote>
in deiner lilo.conf sollte ein solcher Abschnitt als Beispiel bereits existieren. (Du musst nat. die kommentarzeichen entf.)
