TV out Probleme

Hallo @ all,
ich habe ein kleines Problem mit SUSE LINUX 8.1. Ich bin absoluter neuling in sachzen Linux, wollte mich aber da mal reinfuchsen. Nun habe ich also oben genannte Linux - Distribution installiert, was zu meiner großen Freude auch alles richtig gut funzt. Ich schaffe es allerdings nicht meinen TV - Ausgang der Grafikkarte zu nutzten.

Ich habe als erstes Kernel und GFX treiber für die Grafikkarte runtergeladen und installiert.

Ich habe schon versucht unter SaX2 dieses Multihead zu benutzen, es kommt allerdings immer die Fehlermedung, dass man mindestens 2 Grafikkarten installiert haben muss. Wenn ich die Grafikkarte konfiguriere habe ich allerdings die Option NVIEW mit drin.

Wäre also klasse, wenn mir jemand helfen könnte, wo ich den TV ausgang aktivieren kann (NVIEW).

bedeutet auch mehrere monitore (multi)

also für eine Geforce brauchst du kein multihead.

Kenne jetzt leider weder Suse noch SaX2 oder Yast2 sehr gut, weiss also nicht, ob es einfachere Alternative zu der von mir vorgeschlagenen gibt.

Du musst die Datei /etc/X11/XF86-Config editieren, dass sie an entsprechender Stelle ungefähr so aussieht:

Das wichtigste von allen ist der Treiber, "nvidia" anstelle von dem Standard-Treiber "nv". Dass er aktiviert ist, erkennst du daran, dass beim Start von X das NVidia-Logo angezeigt wird.
"Option TwinView" aktiviert den zweiten Anschluss,
"TVStandard" sagt deiner Grafikkarte, dass am zweiten Anschluss ein europäischer Fernseher hängt...

Hhmm, kann leider nix auffälliges finden.
Was du mal versuchen könntest:

umändern zu

ansonsten mal alle Optionen auskommentieren und sehen, ob's läuft.
Wenn das auch nicht, dann ist wahrscheinlich der Treiber nicht richtig installiert, also "nvidia" vorläufig wieder zurück auf "nv".
Apropos Treiber: wenn du als root in der Konsole "lsmod" eingibst, erscheint da ein Modul "NVdriver"?
Wenn nicht, versuche es mit "modprobe NVdriver" zu laden.

hi,
ist nur so eine idee, aber unter windows macht es bei weitem nicht jede nvidia karte mit, das man den monitor und ein tv gleichzeitig betreibt. kann ja sein das es daran liegt.
