[RH9.0,ATI_Radeon]Virtual Screen, obwohl nicht aktiviert!?

Hallo!
Habe mir wiedermal vorgenommen ein Linux(Redhat9.0) bei mir auf dem Rechner zu installieren. Allerdings gibt es ein Problem mit dem X-Server. Obwohl die XF86Config meiner Meinung nach richtig konfiguriert ist, habe ich nur eine Auflösung von 640x480 und einen virtual Screen mit der Auflösung, die in der Screen-Subsection angegeben ist, in meinem Fall ist das 1024x768. Als Graka benutze ich eine ATI Radeon 9000 (Saphire).

Was könnte hier nicht stimmen?

eventuell eine blöde frage: den original ati treiber hast du installiert?

Hi!

Schau in der /var/log/XFree86.0.log. Du wirst wahrscheinlich Einträge finden dahingehend, daß kein brauchbarer Video-Modus über 640x480 gefunden wurde. Vielleicht mußt du ein paar eigene Modelines definieren.
