Ich habe mir LimeWire als .tgz aus dem Internet gezogen.
Kann mir jemand eine Schritt-für-Schritt-Anleitung geben, wie ich das Ding jetzt installiere?
Entpackt bekomme ich es noch...
Lebt LimeWire für Linux überhaupt noch?

LimeWirewird fuer Linux eigentlich als .bin angeboten.
Installation geht, installierte Java vorausgesetzt, so:
chmod 755 LimeWire.bin
cd /Pfad/zum/LimeWire
./LimeWire.bin
Dann startet der Installer, installiert wird in ~/LimeWire/
Aufruf des Progs durch ~/LimeWire/LimeWire

so, hat bis jetzt geklappt. aber nach Abschluss der Installation (und auch beim Start) bekomme ich folgende Fehlermeldung:

Du hast im Installationsvorgang von LimeWire unter 3. folgendes angegeben:
cd/Pfad/zum/LimeWire .
Was bedeutet das /zum ? Vielleicht /zum wegschmeissen? Bitte erkläre es mir genauer.

Was verstehst Du nicht?
/Pfad/zum/LimeWire bedeutet ~/LimeWire/, da wird es normalerweise installiert.
