Problem Description:

 The xcin package as released with Mandrake Linux 8.1 had a problem with
 the bimsphone.so library which was linked against the wrong db version.
 Because of this, certain Input Methods (IME) would not work properly.

the downloaded package.  You can do this with the command:
  rpm --checksig package.rpm

of our FTP server mirrors and upgrade with "rpm -Fvh *.rpm".
