Im Browser nutze ich ABP ohne Filter-Abos, aber mit lokalen Filtern, welche per file:// URL eingebunden wurden. Den ElementHidingHelper nutze ich, um zu blockierende Filter für ABP zu erstellen, da der ElementHidingHelper nur ausblendet.
Im Browser nutze ich uBlock Origin ohne Filter-Abos mit eigener Filterliste Im Browser nutze ich EFF Privacy Badger Ich nutze NoScript Ich browse normalerweise ohne aktiviertem JavaScript. Dazu habe ich auch eine Extension im Browser, über welche ich dies bequem ein- und ausschalten kann.

wie aktualisierst du deine Liste und was ist deine Quelle?
Ich hole mir jede Nacht von verschiedenen Sites Spamlisten und arbeite die in den dnscache ein. Momentan sind das weniger als 5000 Spam- und Malewaredomains.
..weswegen ich die Größe deiner Liste nicht verstehe, oder wird die nicht gepflegt?
Bis Ende 2015 hatte ich ca 10000 Einträge. Nach der weltweiten Razzia dann im Dez 2015 ging das aber extrem runter. Mein Logfile zeigt mir im Januar 2016 zwischen ~4900 und ~7000 Einträge, im Feb 2016 zwischen ~3000 und ~5000 Einträge. Momentan sind es um die 4100 Einträge.
gibt da diverse scripte im netz, die die daten ziehen. z.B.

ja ja, ich arbeite latürnich auch mit scripten - händisch wäre mir dann doch zu mühsam
das Script von yoyo (also das, welches du hier reinkopiert hast) umfasst momentan grad mal 2417 Einträge und nach einem kurzen Check, weiß ich, daß die auch bei mir drinne sind....
wie gesagt: es ging mir um diese - für mich - unfassbare Größe von 280000 Einträgen meines Vorposters

Das Problem bei den Einträgen in der /etc/hosts: Da, wo du bspw. Facebook anderswo mit *facebook* komplett loswirst, mußt du in der hosts haufenweise Einträge haben, weil bspw. Wildecards unzulässig sind. siehe: https://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/hosts/
Zumindest unter Windows hat es bei mir sehr lange gedauert (mehrere Minuten) bis ich anfangen kann zusurfen (nachdem reboot) -- wie ist das unter Linux? Unter Windows wird auch empfohlen statt 127.0.0.1 0.0.0.0 zu verwenden, wie ist das unter GNU/Linux?
Kannst gerne 0.0.0.0 eintragen. Ein Pingtest offenbart: Auflösung erfolgt auf localhost. Insofern kann man einfach die Einträge aus "Windows-Listen" kopieren.
