X Server startet nicht seit update

hallo,

ich verwende einen Siemens Amilo A mit Dual-Boot XP/Debian.
Seit meinem letzten Debian Update will der X-Server nicht mehr, so wie ich es will. Das Bild ist war zu klein. Jetzt wollte ich die Auflösung ändern,. habe
aber mitbekommen, dass alle meine Änderungen "nix bewirken". Dann ist mir aufgefallen, dass die Daten in xfree86config gespeichert werden, er aber xfree86config-4 lädt. Seitdem ich die Dateien umbenannt habe (die alte in xconfig-4 umbenannt ) startet er das X gar nicht mehr. auf dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86 antwortet er: unbekannte option -e , bei startx kommt: no screens found (und natürlich noch mehr )

Daten laut Bildschirm-Handbuch: TFT-Bildschirm, 15 Zoll, 32 Bit Farbtiefe, 1600x1200
