Lokal benötige ich sowas nicht. Gibt es sowas auch für Netzlaufwerke? Mounte häufig per sshfs oder webdav diverse Netzspeicher ein. Ein cache im RAM oder auf der SSD wäre manchmal sehr praktisch. Habe mich aber auch noch nicht tiefer mit beschäftigt

Ja, so etwas gibt es im Kernel unterhalb von CONFIG_FSCACHE und nennt sich CONFIG_CACHEFILES:
This permits use of a mounted filesystem as a cache for other filesystems - primarily networking filesystems - thus allowing fast local disk to enhance the speed of slower devices. See Documentation/filesystems/caching/cachefiles.txt for more information.
