A format string vulnerability has been discovered in Mailutils.
CAN-2005-2878 A format string vulnerability in search.c in the imap4d server in GNU Mailutils 0.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code via format string specifiers in the SEARCH command.
For the testing distribution (etch) this is fixed in version 1:0.6.90-2.1etch1
For the unstable distribution (sid) this is fixed in version 1:0.6.90-3
This upgrade is recommended if you use mailutils.
The Debian testing security team does not track security issues for the stable (sarge) and oldstable (woody) distributions. If stable is vulnerable, the Debian security team will make an announcement once a fix is ready.

To use the Debian testing security archive, add the following lines to your /etc/apt/sources.list:
