[slackware-security] mutt (SSA:2014-071-01)
New mutt packages are available for Slackware 13.37, 14.0, 14.1, and -current to fix a security issue.
Here are the details from the Slackware 14.1 ChangeLog: +--------------------------+ patches/packages/mutt-1.5.23-i486-1_slack14.1.txz: Upgraded. This update fixes a buffer overflow where malformed RFC2047 header lines could result in denial of service or potentially the execution of arbitrary code as the user running mutt. For more information, see: http://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2014-0467 (* Security fix *) +--------------------------+
