Und so mach ich das auch... ich nehm immer das binary von mozilla.com. Und ich hatte damit noch nie Probleme. Und mozilla stellt patches auch einigermassen flott bereit. Bei Debian kann ich mich dunkel an einen mehrwöchigen Blackout erinnern was das angeht. Aber bei Debian muss es halt immer etwas anders laufen als bei anderen (hab selber mal Debian benutzt... 'woody', war mir aber zu umständlich im Vergleich zu Slackware). Und zum glück kann Ubuntu/Kubuntu ja wieder den FireFox integrieren (am besten das binary einfach in ein deb wandeln und gut is...), ist ja niemand gezwungen Debians Weg mitzugehen...
Jop richtig so: Die Annahme das Mozilla am meisten Ahnung beim Kompilieren von Mozilla ist durchaus vernünftig. P.S.: Ich denke hier geht es nicht nur um das Logo auch wenn das jetzt manche so darstellen wollen, man sollte einfach mal die debian-builds, die ubuntu-builds und die mozilla-builds durch den ldd jagen.
