An alle VMWARE-User: vmware-config.pl bricht mit einer Fehlermeldung ab: "no time stamp counter ...". Lösung: patchen der Datei /usr/bin/vmware-config.pl: In test11-pre5 name of field which contains 'tsc' changed from 'flags' to 'features'. Open vmware-config.pl in vi or another text editor and replace
^flags.*tsc
with
^features.*tsc
It will work as temporary solution. If you want generic one, replace it with
^\(flags\|features\).*tsc
but I did not checked number of \ for using it in perl yet. You'll probably have to use
^\\(flags\\|features\\).*tsc
but you'll see...
Ein Super Tip aus dejanews / power search, sher zu empfehlen.
